I joined the practice in May 1999 as a Receptionist.
In 2007, the NHS introduced the ‘Choose and Book’ system into practices. This system is all about giving the patient choice of treatment, hospital and appointment. In order for the system to run smoothly, the Practice required a secretary to work for the doctors. I became secretary in 2007 and worked for all the GPs and ran the Choose and Book system for them.
As the Practice expanded, and the GPs became busier, in 2010 there was a need to share my workload and take on extra responsibilities from the doctors. I am now one of two PAs and work primarily for Doctors Wooding, Rathbone and Rice.
I also deal with the Diabetic recall system and administer the Thyroid register.
I have lived in the Vale all my life and have two children. I live with my family in Stathern.
