Appointments

Welcome to our online appointment system, powered by the AccuRx platform. To provide you with efficient and timely healthcare, we have designed a system that connects you with the appropriate healthcare professional as quickly as possible.

Submission window: You can submit a request through our online appointment system between 6.30am and 11.00am, Monday to Friday

Same-Day Response: Our team aims to address your request on the same day it is received. Based on your needs, we will connect you with a suitable healthcare professional, which may include a GP, nurse, pharmacist, or another specialist.

To Request an appointment:

  • Please submit an online request, Monday to Friday from 6.30am to 11.00am.
  • Phone us on 01664 822214 for Long Clawson Medical Practice or 01476 870900 for the Stackyard Surgery Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 11.00am
  • Visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6;30pm

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

Your appointment

When you contact us, your request will be added to a clinician’s list for the day. Typically, a clinician will reach out to you first by phone or possibly via text message. During this initial contact, they will address your request and determine whether it can be handled over the phone or if it requires a face-to-face appointment.

If you prefer a face-to-face appointment, please inform our reception staff and the clinician during your call. We will do our best to accommodate your preference.

Our reception team may ask questions about the nature of your call to ensure you receive the most appropriate care. They are instructed by the partners and management team to ask these questions so you can be directed to the most appropriate service, whether this be an appointment with a GP, nurse, or other healthcare professional.

Please rest assured that our receptionists are bound by the same strict confidentiality guidelines as doctors and nurses. Any information you share with them is treated with the utmost privacy and respect.

Based on the information you provide, our triage team can ensure you receive the most appropriate care in a timely manner. Our receptionist’s role is not to decide whether you can or cannot have an appointment, this is not the reason for the questions.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us provide the best possible care.
